Does the restaurant take reservations? Interested in today Sunday, May 27?
I celebrated my birthday this evening in this delicious restaurant. Well it was a delightful evening and the restaurant was certainly the reason for the successful evening. The waiters contributed in a graceful way, the meals were delicious and my buddies were so delighted. We shall no dout return for more events. thanks very much.
MoreFried clams are yummy. Dine in inside is. Set up well. Indulged in the drink special, the Chemist. Recommend you try it out.
MoreThere is something wonderful about a grilled hot dog roll with warm lobster and hot drawn butter! But I've been disappointed three times this Summer but not from the Village Restaurant! They grilled the bun, added warm tender lobster meat with butter and even provided drawn butter all to go!! I wish they were open today, I'd order another one. My only complaint was the side of coleslaw was small. Looking for a tender lobsta roll? Call the Village Restaurant!
MoreHad a fantastic experience in here with my son. The food came quickly and the customer service is just great. Prices are reasonable.
MoreEverything we ordered was perfectly cooked and tasted wonderful clam chowder insane, the real deal.great atmosphere and friendly service. Affordable prices. Can't wait to return
MoreGood, was first night open so typical of that but still have good food.
Fried clams are fantastic although a little pricy, but the rest of the menu is reasonable
MoreStaff was great.. food was awesome highly recommend..
Consistently great. So glad to return. Reservations are advised because seating is limited but they have a lovely covered patio as well as indoor. The best local clams.
MoreThis place is worth trying. They have big portions for reasonable rates. Always well organized and with fantastic ambience. Will come back again.
MoreMy favorite seafood restaurant. All the haddock dishes are excellent, the fried haddock sandwich is a great lunch. But the star is their fried clams, they are my all-time favorites amid some very stiff local competition.
MoreThis restaurant is known as an 'old peoples place', and it has not been updated in ages, but I've never eaten here when the food hasn't been excellent. Outstanding fried seafood including clams. Excellent onion rings. Delicious baked fish and seafood casserole with signature crumb topping. My favorite is surf and surf...fried clams with baked haddock. Good dessert menu. Plenty of parking. It may not be hip but its good!
MoreAlways good staff the best standouts joe abby
Yummy pint of clam chowder! Had to devour it on back of hatch car in parking lot. Chowder broth the best! Can't wait until I can eat it again sitting inside the restaurant. God Bless the magnificent USA and the Village Restaurant!
MoreIf you enjoy fried clams and seafood, you will enjoy. Parking can be difficult during peak hour at the Village Restaurant. and reservations are recommended, especially during peak hours. I have been a patron for over45 ears. Their Clam chowder is excellent, and a real treat. It is made with fresh clams and (I believe fresh cream).
MoreWe had take out. Very good baked haddock! Good fried clams! The service was great. Essex as always a beautiful drive.
MoreWorst meal we’ve had in years. $52.00 for LUNCH at take out!!! Fish was thimble size, cole slaw about the size of a tablespoon. Village Resturant doesn’t seem to care about any kind of quality during this covid lockout, while jacking up the price; outrageous. Never again.
MoreThis place has been there forever. I first ate here as a child, with my parents. It is familiar and comfortable. Despite a change in ownership, the menu is very similar. All my favorites are still available. They have awesome baked stuffed lobsters. I love the baked shrimp and scallops in a Chablis sauce. Fried seafood is great too. Always start your meal with a plate of the best fried clams in New England.
MoreHave been going to The Village for decades. Very consistently good food and excellent service. Best clam chowder I have ever had. Surprisingly good cocktails.
MoreThis is doubtless one of the most pleasant place to eat in the neighborhood. Whenever I come to this place I am awfully satisfied. They keep their high standard service and the highest level of cooking they serve. You are always happy with this place. Very recommended.
MoreBurger was requested medium but was received rare/med rare. Service was good and friendly. Prices are a bit high. Bathroom doesn't accommodate a wheelchair and also paper towel dispensers are over 5' high on walls.
MoreThis place is a classic diner style restaurant- packed with locals and visitors and a menu filled with american and seafood classics. All of the food we had was good but not sure we would come again. The atmosphere is a bit boring, it's a bit dated and feels like it could do with a deep clean: otherwise its good if your going. One food tip: I had the stir fry and it would be nice if the rice was on the side and not on bottom covered in juice.
MoreSat out on the patio. We had perfect weather. Food was tasty and fresh. Portions left room for dessert. Definitely a dependable eatery.
MoreLimited menu but all favorites still there! Food delicious! Have masks and social distancing in place! Felt safe and comfortable!
